Hi, I'm Valerie!
I'm a photographer and mom of six kids who loves reading, going for walks on the River's Edge trails, and playing the piano.
I understand that each child is unique and special. My goal as a school photographer is to provide photos of each child that capture a bit of who they really are. I use fun prompts and a bit of conversation to help children relax and feel comfortable so I can capture natural smiles and expressions.
As a mom of six, planning and organizing are some of my strengths. (They have to be!) I have a system for each part of the school photo process, from sending out communication for parents to the photo day itself to an easy ordering process. This ensures a positive experience for both schools and families.

School photos can be taken outdoors at your location between late spring and early fall (weather permitting). Outdoor portraits are some of my favorites!
Frequently asked questions
How do parents order photos?
I provide an online proofing gallery with 2-5 images of each child, in both color and black & white. Parents can order both prints and digital photos directly from the gallery.
What ages and school sizes can you photograph?
I photograph kids of all ages, from infants to teens. I can work with school sizes from 20 to 150 students.
When do you schedule school portraits?
While school photos are traditionally taken in the fall, I can schedule them at any time during the school year. For daycares, summer photos are also an option.
Do you offer group/staff/sibling photos?
Yes. Class photos are available upon request, at no additional charge. Staff photos are also free of charge. I can also do sibling photos.
